HoFeO3 have two magnetic ions, Ho3+ and Fe3+, and three types of magnetic interactions between these two ions. These three interactions play different roles at different temperature ranges. The Fe3+-Fe3+ interaction induce the canted antiferromagnetic arrangement of Fe3+ at room temperature. The Ho3+-Fe3+ interaction cause a phase transition at about 50K.
